No need to worry about The Weeknd. He’s doing quite well, actually.
The artist behind “Blinding Lights” has had quite a year. His “After Hours Till Dawn” tour has shattered records, claiming the title of the highest-grossing tour by a male solo act ever.
With ticket sales from upcoming shows in Mexico, Brazil, Europe, and the UK in 2026, the tour has already sold over 7.5 million tickets across 153 shows, raking in more than a billion dollars.
This tour kicked off in 2022 and has taken him all over—twice through North America, and also to Europe, Latin America, and Australia.
In 2023, the Guinness World Records dubbed him the “World’s Most Popular Artist.” His hit “Blinding Lights” was certified RIAA Diamond, marking it as the top song on the Billboard Hot 100, even surpassing Chubby Checker’s 1960 classic “The Twist.”
The Weeknd’s remarkable feat is surpassed only by a couple of tours: Coldplay’s “Music of the Spheres,” which grossed $1.5 billion, and Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” at $2 billion.
Beyond his musical success, The Weeknd has contributed over $8.5 million to the XO Humanitarian Fund and Global Citizen, with further funds from his 2026 activities designated to support the World Food Program. Fans can also enter to win a free ticket for each tour date through Global Citizen.
The upcoming leg of the tour, organized by Live Nation and sponsored by Nespresso, is set to begin in Mexico City on April 20, featuring stops in places like Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Paris, Amsterdam, Milan, London, and Madrid.
