Danica McKellar’s Holiday Tips

Actress Danica McKellar shared some thoughts about family gatherings during the holidays, emphasizing the importance of simplicity. Speaking to Fox News Digital, she remarked, “Keep it simple.”

McKellar’s favorite holiday tradition centers around Christmas dinner, where she enjoys gathering her loved ones. “It’s all about getting everyone together and steering clear of controversial topics,” she advised while at the Conrad Nashville Hotel in Tennessee. “Just enjoy the cooking and being with each other.”

Expressing her fondness for the Tennessee winter season, McKellar said, “I love being in Tennessee for Christmas. It’s wonderful. We have seasons, and seeing the leaves change is just beautiful. They fall, and we even have what we call stick season.”

In 2022, McKellar relocated to Tennessee with her family. She is set to debut her new holiday film on The Great American Family on December 13, marking her 12th Christmas movie and her first as a screenwriter.

In “Have I Met You This Christmas?” McKellar plays a character who, after suffering amnesia, gets a second chance at love. “I don’t remember him,” she explained about her co-star Jesse Hutch’s character. “I’m also a real estate buyer, trying to buy a family inn, but of course, I don’t remember that either.”

She continued to share intriguing details about the film’s plot, hinting at her character’s attempts to save the inn from a corporation without realizing she’s part of that corporation. “It’s a fun story, taking familiar elements and giving them a new twist,” she commented.

McKellar has been making Christmas movies for a decade, partly to remind audiences of the season’s true significance. “It’s more than just the lights and family togetherness,” she explained. “These movies can really evoke what’s important about Christmas, creating moments that resonate in a heartfelt way.”

Highlighting the faith aspect of The Great American Family’s productions, she underlined the importance of nurturing family traditions during the hectic Christmas season. “It’s about those little memories we often forget,” she said. “Take some time to reconnect, like stringing popcorn together.”

Her new film will be available for streaming on Great American Pure Flix starting December 11.

Aside from her acting career, McKellar has just released her 12th mathematics book, a children’s story entitled “I Love You 100: A Counting Book Full of Love,” inspired by her experiences with her son. “We played a counting game together,” she recalled fondly, where they counted “I love you” back and forth up to 100.
