Meghan King Celebrates Daughter’s Birthday Amid Custody Battle
Meghan King posted a heartfelt birthday message for her daughter Aspen as she turned nine, following a recent loss of custody to her ex-husband, Jim Edmonds.
On her Instagram Story, King wrote, “My favorite woman to ever walk this earth. My brightest light, my greatest joy.” She reminisced, stating, “Nine years ago today, a wonderful gift from God was born. That’s when I learned what love is. I love you Aspen King Edmonds. I love you infinitely. Happy Birthday.”
This tribute came just a day after she shared a somewhat cryptic post on Instagram where she expressed her support for “human rights” amid ongoing custody issues with Edmonds.
“Big fan of human rights,” she captioned an image, tagging her location as Kirkwood, Michigan.
According to recent reports, King, now 41, has temporarily lost custody of her three children—Aspen and twin sons, Hart and Hayes, both 7—to Edmonds. A source mentioned that she is permitted two supervised visits each week with her kids.
Complications arose when it was reported that an investigation began after King allegedly administered unprescribed medication to one of her sons and requested the school nurse to do the same. Sources indicate she gave Ritalin to Hayes, despite him not being diagnosed with ADHD, which led to the involvement of Child Protective Services (CPS).
After being notified by CPS, Jim and his wife, Courtney Edmonds, traveled to Missouri to address the situation.
Additionally, a temporary restraining order has been issued, with a more permanent decision expected at a court hearing set for December 9th. King and Edmonds were married from October 2014 until their divorce was finalized in May 2021, following a cheating scandal that led to their separation.
