Controversy Surrounds World’s Strongest Woman Title

Organizers of the World’s Strongest Woman contest announced they discovered that a transgender woman, originally assigned male at birth, had won the title through an explicit video found on an adult entertainment site.

As a result, American Jammy Booker was stripped of the 2025 title after the video was released, which allegedly violated the competition rules that require athletes to compete according to their biological sex.

Andrea Thompson, who came in second place, has now been named the strongest woman in the world.

Thompson explained that the controversy came to light early Monday morning, around 3 a.m. She mentioned that “highly explicit material” concerning 28-year-old Booker began to circulate just after the competition, which concluded the night before.

“It was from an adult site—let’s just say that. The photos and videos raised questions about her gender,” Thompson stated.

The organizers of the Strongman Games expressed their horror at the situation and assured a thorough investigation would follow.

Thompson noted that the organizers had given Booker a 24-hour window to respond to the allegations, but she did not offer any clarification. Due to this lack of response, they declared that she had lost her title.

Thompson highlighted how this unexpected turn of events caused a “massive puddle effect” in the rankings, meaning that placements shifted dramatically. The woman who had finished third now moved up to second, which affected many others, particularly one contestant who didn’t get the chance to compete for a top ten spot.

The situation also overshadowed what was meant to be a celebratory moment for Thompson. “I’m now the strongest woman in the world, but I feel robbed of moments I should be enjoying. Instead, I’m facing a lot of negativity,” she reflected.

Thompson mentioned that the contest attracted “women of all shapes and sizes,” and many participants might not have been aware of any underlying issues regarding Booker before the findings came to light.

While neither Thompson nor many other competitors knew Booker well before the event, she described Booker as a “dark horse” who welcomed the competition.

“I don’t judge anyone based on looks. We celebrate all women in this sport, so size doesn’t really matter to me,” she added, indicating that the revelations were unexpected for all involved.

During the awards ceremony, Thompson reportedly left the podium in frustration over the decision to crown Booker. As for Booker, she has not publicly addressed the allegations, though an older video posted online does feature her stating that she is a “21-year-old trans girl.”
