Ninety best PPR running backs for fantasy football in Week 13

Week 13 Overview

As Week 13 rolls in, it’s probably not the best time for heavy meals or soccer marathons. There are no teams on bye this week, so fans can enjoy the holidays with their favorite squads. The return of players like Bucky Irving, Josh Jacobs, Isaiah Pacheco, and Trey Benson from injuries is definitely a bonus for those of us managing fantasy teams.

Devin Neal, Saints vs. Dolphins

Alvin Kamara is dealing with a knee issue and will likely sit out this week. This opens the door for Neal to step in as the starter against the Dolphins, who have been quite generous, allowing the fifth-most yards per carry to running backs. Last week, we saw teams use Neal actively in the passing game; he managed to catch 5 of 7 targets for 43 yards. This could really help boost his fantasy appeal this week.

Josh Jacobs missed the game against the Giants in Week 11 due to a knee contusion. While he hasn’t suffered any structural damage, he was also held out in Week 12. That said, he’s eager to play against the Lions on Thanksgiving.

Trey Benson, who has been sidelined since Week 4 after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his meniscus, participated in limited practice last week. It seems he has a decent shot at playing this week against the Cardinals.

Omarion Hampton, Chargers

Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh indicated that he doesn’t expect Omarion Hampton back until after the Week 12 bye, and he hasn’t practiced yet. With a matchup against the Raiders looming, the team will need all hands on deck.

Bucky Irving has missed the last seven games due to shoulder and ankle issues but is back at practice and is likely to play against the Cardinals unless an unforeseen setback occurs.

Isaiah Pacheco sustained an MCL sprain in Week 8 and might return this Thursday against the Cowboys. The situation is a bit uncertain, but if he can make it back, he would be a solid start. If not, Kareem Hunt could benefit from an opportunity in fantasy leagues.

Kamara’s MCL sprain in Week 12 could keep him out this week against the Dolphins, and there’s a chance he may miss additional games. Right now, Devin Neal appears to be the last man standing, which could lead to some fantasy value for him in a favorable matchup.
