Trump’s Thanksgiving Proclamation Emphasizes Faith

In his 2025 Thanksgiving Proclamation, President Donald Trump highlighted that “God has richly blessed all of our nation,” encouraging Americans to “offer a prayer of thanksgiving to God for his many blessings.” This contrasts sharply with former President Joe Biden’s message from last year, which did not mention God at all.

Trump’s proclamation references George Washington, the United States’ first president, who established the nation’s first Thanksgiving Day. It states, “It is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to submit to His will, to be grateful for His blessings, and to humbly implore His protection and favor.” He also mentions that President Abraham Lincoln urged the nation to gather for a “day of thanksgiving and praise to our gracious Father who dwells in heaven.”

According to Trump’s declaration, “This year, God has richly blessed all of our nation, and indeed the entire world.” He expresses gratitude as the country advances through strong leadership and sensible policies.

“As a result,” the proclamation continues, “the American economy is rapidly recovering, we are making progress in lowering the cost of living, a new era of peace is spreading across the globe, our sovereignty is quickly being restored, and the American spirit is returning bigger and stronger than ever.”

As the nation prepares to celebrate 250 years of independence, Trump reflects on the faith, determination, and resilience of past American leaders. He emphasizes a commitment to honor their sacrifices by building a worthy future. Above all, he expresses “infinite gratitude to Almighty God for his love, grace, and infinite blessings.”

In summary, President Trump officially declares November 27, 2025, as a Day of National Thanksgiving, urging all Americans to come together in prayer for their numerous blessings. This proclamation markedly differs from Biden’s, which included no references to God or divine blessings.
