Trump Proposes Controversial Immigration Policy
In a Thanksgiving message on Truth Social, former President Donald Trump laid out his vision for what he described as a “reverse immigration” plan. He expressed his intention to permanently stop immigration from countries he refers to as “Third World” and significantly lessen admissions throughout Biden’s tenure.
Trump indicated he would cease all immigration from these nations, cancel what he estimated to be “millions” of admissions made during the Biden administration, and deport individuals he considers public safety threats or incompatible with “Western civilization.” He claimed the U.S. immigration system is failing and suggested that his policy would facilitate a complete recovery.
Moreover, Trump pledged to eliminate federal benefits for noncitizens, denaturalize immigrants accused of disrupting “domestic tranquility,” and expand deportation efforts.
Tragic Shooting Near the White House
Trump’s remarks followed a tragic incident where two National Guard members were shot near the White House. Authorities described the shooting as a “targeted” attack, and Trump announced that one of the Guardsmen, 20-year-old Sarah Beckstrom from West Virginia, had died.
The second Guardsman, 24-year-old Andrew Wolf, is reportedly still “fighting for his life.” The gunman, identified as Rahmanullah Rakanwal, 29, is also in critical condition.
It’s worth noting that Rakanwal entered the U.S. legally in 2021 through humanitarian parole, part of a program initiated by the Biden administration following the withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Trump concluded his social media post with a grave warning: “Apart from that, happy Thanksgiving to everyone except those who hate, steal, kill, and destroy everything America stands for. You won’t be here for long!”
