During a Thanksgiving phone call with military officials, former President Donald Trump continued his lighthearted jabs at President Joe Biden’s golf skills.
A non-commissioned officer on the call asked Trump about his “true golf handicap” and inquired whether he and Biden might ever play a round together.
Trump, showing confidence, replied that he would be “happy” to challenge Biden on the golf course, but noted that Biden had declined his invitation.
He recalled, “I invited him and he didn’t want to show up.” Trump then boasted about his golf achievements, claiming to have won numerous club championships, and mentioned that he doesn’t get to practice much these days. He seemed to suggest that age doesn’t impact performance on the fairway, humorously stating, “the fairway doesn’t know how old you are.”
Without giving an exact figure, Trump characterized his handicap as “very low,” saying he might even have a plus-three handicap. He mused, “You have to be at a scratch level or better,” and recounted his experiences in last year’s club championship where he played well without practice.
Since the notable debate in 2024, where he first mocked Biden’s golf, Trump has reportedly shared more videos of Biden at golf, playfully questioning whether Biden could perform as well as others he’d filmed. He specifically poked fun at Biden’s self-reported 6 handicap, saying, “If you break 100, I’ll give you a million dollars,” suggesting that achieving that score would be easy for someone claiming to have that handicap, yet he implied Biden wouldn’t be able to do it.
Moreover, Trump laughed off a video of Biden’s drive that went viral, contrasting it with his own, and joked, “That’s not Biden, let me tell you.” At the end of his Thanksgiving message, Trump reiterated his criticisms of Biden’s abilities, asserting that, based on what he had seen, Biden couldn’t hit the golf ball very far.
