Nelly Korda’s Engagement News
Nelly Korda has announced her engagement.
The talented golfer from Bradenton, Florida, who recently completed her ninth season on the LPGA Tour, shared the news through an Instagram post on Friday.
“In this life…and in the next 💍,” Nelly wrote, alongside a photo of her and her fiancé, Casey Gunderson, captured during their engagement shoot.
The couple was seen holding newspapers declaring, “We’re getting married!”
Jessica Korda, Nelly’s sister and a former LPGA player, humorously commented, “Sadly she’s off the market. 💃🤝💃.”
She also reshared Nelly’s post with the enthusiastic addition, “She said YAAAAAASSSS. I couldn’t be happier for these two.”
Other well-known figures, including LeBron James, WNBA All-Star Kaitlyn Clark, and golf champion Michelle Wie West, offered their congratulations.
Interestingly, Nelly and Kaitlyn had played together at the Pro-Am event at Anika on November 12th.
The engagement photos were taken in Florida, according to wedding photographer Casey Powell.
Casey Gunderson, who is the vice president of Florida Engineering LLC, attended Bryant University from 2014 to 2018, where he played wide receiver for the Bulldogs, although it seems he didn’t appear in any games.
Before college, Casey was a three-year starter at IMG Academy.
Nelly’s engagement comes right on the heels of her solo third-place finish at the CME Group Tour Championship in Naples, Florida last week.
Add to that, her first signature shoe with Nike, the Nike Free Golf “Nelly Corda,” was launched on November 20th.
Interestingly, her brother, tennis player Sebastian Korda, announced his engagement to Ivana Nedved just earlier this month.
Nelly is also featured in this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, which adds another highlight to her year.
