President Donald Trump recently showcased his 38 golf championships, taking to social media to elaborate on his accomplishments.
This week, he was spotted on the golf course alongside LIV Golf star Brooks Koepka, NHL legend Wayne Gretzky, and FOX News’ Bret Baier. He shared a video on Truth Social where he attempted a short chip shot but missed it.
After the caddy removed the pin, Trump took a few practice swings before stepping up to the chip. Although the ball stayed on the ground, it was well-aimed.
“Once!” a golfer exclaimed as they all watched the ball settle into the cup.
Feeling pleased with his shot, Trump walked away smiling, likely enjoying the moment as he headed to the next hole.
“Winning is always great!” he captioned his post on Truth Social.
In the aftermath, Trump also poked fun at former President Joe Biden’s golf skills during a Thanksgiving video call with U.S. military members.
One noncommissioned officer asked President Trump about his “true golf handicap.”
Curiously, the petty officer also inquired if Trump and Biden would consider a golf match. This was a nod to previous comments Trump made during a presidential debate in June, where he criticized Biden’s performance.
A few weeks later, Trump challenged Biden to a golf game, promising to donate $1 million to charity if he lost.
When responding to the officer, Trump expressed bold confidence about facing Biden on the course.
“I invited him, but he doesn’t want to show up,” Trump remarked.
He didn’t hold back on his assessment of Biden, claiming, “Biden can’t hit the ball 30 yards. I saw him swing. That was the only thing that annoyed me. He said he was a 6 handicap during the debate, and I thought, ‘You’re not a 6 handicap.’ He joked back, ‘Well, I’m 8 years old.’ It was funny. But he’s not 100. Golf’s a great game, and we want everyone to join in.”
“I know a lot about golf,” Trump added while reflecting on his experiences.
He went on to assert, “I’ve won 38 club championships, but I don’t practice a lot. I won again last year, beating a 27-year-old in a big club championship. I told him, ‘The fairway doesn’t care how old you are; you still need to be in it.’ I’ve been playing well for many years.”
He described his golf handicap as “very low” but didn’t specify what it was.
“I believe I’m at scratch or better,” Trump stated, claiming to have achieved a plus-three during a round. “I even reached the finals of last year’s club championship without practicing. I mean, I’m a good golfer,” he concluded.
