Gavin Rossdale Shares Pride in His Kids

Gavin Rossdale recently expressed his pride in his children during an interview, where he talked about his sons with ex-wife Gwen Stefani. The musician noted their impressive progress as they pursue their own musical careers.

“My oldest son is actually in the studio today finishing up his record,” Rossdale shared. “It’s really quite surreal when my kids play me their music.” With three sons—Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo—Rossdale reflected on what it means to watch them grow.

In earlier discussions, Rossdale has been open about his feelings regarding divorce. He dubbed it a “shame” and mentioned a longing for a deeper connection. “I never thought I’d get divorced,” he admitted, citing his parents’ backgrounds and their multiple marriages as something he didn’t want to repeat.

“I just think life unfolds as it should,” he remarked. “I don’t live with regrets. It’s either comfortable or uncomfortable, but it all happens for a reason.” He expressed a wish for better connections with his children, reflecting on his own feelings of loss from growing up in a “broken family.”

He emphasized that he feels for his kids, who have to navigate the challenges of having separated parents. “That’s tough,” he said. “It’s simply not fun, and I wish I could have found a way to prevent that.” The emotional toll on kids from such circumstances shouldn’t be underestimated, he added.

Now, as a father, Rossdale cherishes the moments spent with his children, especially during holidays like Thanksgiving. “There’s no pressure with gifts, and just being together makes it special,” he explained. “They’re older now, so it’s a nice change.” He also mentioned having Christmas decorations up already, with his oldest son enjoying holiday music, which makes the season even more significant for him.

His kids inspire him in many aspects of life, including his recent partnership with PETA for the “Adopt, Don’t Shop” campaign. As an advocate for shelter pets, Rossdale noted, “These dogs face disappointment; it’s heartbreaking. They deserve better.” His message is clear: adopting from shelters is not just beneficial for the animals but enriches families as well.

“They’re resilient and filled with love,” he concluded. “These animals just want to be taken care of.”
