Week 14 Waiver Wire Watch for Tight Ends

Hi there! December has rolled in, and with Thanksgiving behind us, many fantasy leagues are gearing up for the playoffs. If you’re looking to make some moves before Week 14 begins, let’s dive into a selection of tight ends that might be worth picking up off waivers.

As a reminder, we’re focusing on players who are rostered in 60% or fewer leagues right now. Plus, this week wraps up the last of the league-wide byes, so keep an eye on your roster’s availability.

Week 14 Bye Teams: Carolina Panthers, New England Patriots, New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers

Brenton Strange, TE, Jacksonville Jaguars (28.3%)

Strange has really stepped up for the Jaguars since returning from injured reserve. In their recent game against the Titans, he caught three passes for 45 yards, which includes his first touchdown this season. He had a solid return with 93 yards last week, showing that he can contribute effectively.

The Jaguars seem to be hitting their stride as they move deeper into the season. Strange is positioned to be a valuable asset as you prepare for the fantasy playoffs.

Week 14 matchups: vs. Indianapolis Colts, 1 p.m. ET

Isaiah Likely, TE, Baltimore Ravens (17.9%)

Likely had perhaps his strongest showing in the Ravens’ Thanksgiving night game against the Bengals, finishing with five catches for 95 yards. Though, I wouldn’t go so far as to say it was his “best” game, but you can see potential. Unfortunately, an unanticipated fumble cost them a scoring opportunity early in the match.

Despite that hiccup, his performance gives reason for optimism, especially with an important game against the Steelers coming up—one that could have playoff implications for both teams.

Week 14 matchups: vs. Pittsburgh Steelers, 1:00 p.m. ET

Zach Ertz, TE, Washington Commanders (59.1%)

In a narrow overtime loss against the Broncos, Ertz was very active, racking up 10 catches for 106 yards. This marked his first 100-yard game since last season’s NFC Championship Game. Even though his contributions came in a loss, he has been a reliable target this season.

Ertz’s experience makes him someone to consider grabbing, particularly since he’s fitting within our waiver criteria now.

Week 14 matchups: @ Minnesota Vikings, 1 p.m. ET.

Harold Fannin Jr., TE, Cleveland Browns (46.0%)

This past Sunday, the Browns struggled offensively in a 26-8 defeat against the 49ers, but Fannin managed to score their only touchdown with three catches for 43 yards. As a rookie from Bowling Green, he has impressed at times, totaling 505 receiving yards and ranking high in targets among tight ends this season.

With a matchup against the struggling Titans, Fannin might just have an opportunity to shine this week.
