Governor Gavin Newsom mocks Trump with fake health update

Newsom’s Satirical Take on Trump’s Health

California’s Governor Gavin Newsom attempted to play a prank on former President Donald Trump by dubbing him “the healthiest man alive” and sharing a fabricated medical report that lauded his arteries and resting heart rate.

The satirical report claimed, “His bone density was exceptional (the radiologist was briefly convinced he had scanned a Sequoia), and his brain imaging showed no issues other than unusually active areas linked to intelligence, multitasking, and high productivity before dawn,” according to a post from Newsom’s press office on social media.

This mock report seems to be just another jab from Newsom, who has been vocal in his opposition to Trump. Interestingly, the release included an amusing assertion that Dr. Dolittle was Newsom’s personal physician.

The lighthearted critique follows real medical notes from Trump’s physician, Dr. Sean Barbavera, stating that the 79-year-old former president is in “very good overall health.” Barbavera’s memo, released recently, noted that precautionary advanced imaging tests of Trump’s heart and abdomen were “completely normal,” all amidst ongoing speculation regarding his health. Trump himself mentioned he would disclose results from an MRI taken in October at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Although Trump faces chronic venous insufficiency—an issue that affects blood circulation—and has been spotted with bruises on his hands (blamed on numerous handshakes), the playful jab from Newsom comes at a crucial time.

Following the news of Trump’s MRI results, Newsom’s false report emerged, echoing recent viral clips showing Trump appearing to nod and sway while walking during a meeting in the Oval Office.

The report cheekily suggested that if a health comparison chart were to be published, it should be redacted for the mental well-being of the former president, humorously signed by “Dr. Dolittle” from “Supreme Excellence.”

Newsom’s pointed remarks have indeed garnered applause from liberals, many of whom hope to undermine Trump as the crucial midterm elections approach. With the potential to shift Congressional control back to Democrats in the next two years, this exchange seems to be an example of political theater with real stakes.
