Melania Trump Skips Beijing Summit, Focuses on Home

BEIJING — Melania Trump stayed back at the White House, skipping her husband’s busy summit in Beijing, which was instead documented by her director.

Currently, Melania is in Washington, D.C., where she commemorated the milestone of 180 days since the president signed the Raising Our Future Executive Order, a key initiative aimed at supporting foster children, a cause she deeply cares about.

While Melania remained in D.C., her director Brett Ratner flew to China with President Trump.

Ratner, who directed the documentary titled “Melania,” traveled with the president on Air Force One, raising questions online about the first lady’s absence from such an important trip.

According to a source familiar with the situation, “The first lady had no prior knowledge that Mr. Ratner was coming to China.” The source added, “She only collaborates with him on film projects.”

Initially, the first lady had decided against making the trip, even before the original schedule was moved back by a month due to the ongoing conflict in Iran.

“Her focus is on American families and children, prioritizing those responsibilities here at home,” the official noted.

Upcoming Plans for the First Lady

Looking ahead, Melania Trump will welcome Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan during their upcoming visit to the White House in September, emulating her earlier successful hosting of the British royal family.

In addition, Eric Trump and his wife Lara are part of the U.S. delegation in China.

Interestingly, Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, brought along his young son, who is already learning Chinese at just six years old.
