Week 14 Recap of the NFL Season
It’s already Week 14 of the NFL season, and honestly, it’s surprising how fast the time has flown by. I guess that’s what happens when you’re not the one getting tackled by massive, speedy players every play. I mean, who wouldn’t want to dodge those 300-pound linemen sprinting down the field, right?
Teams like the Carolina Panthers, New England Patriots, New York Giants, and San Francisco 49ers are all in the mix this week.
On the player front, we have names like Tetailoa McMillan, Stefon Diggs, Wan’Dale Robinson, Darius Slayton, Jauan Jennings, and Ricky Pearsall standing out.
Chris Godwin, Buccaneers vs. Saints
Godwin made his way back to the field for 66% of snaps last week, which is promising, and this number should climb into the 70s or even 80s soon. He racked up 78 yards, catching three of five targets, leading in receiving yards despite dropping a touchdown. The Saints have a decent pass defense but, well, they do have their flops, and Godwin looks set for a full return.
Meanwhile, Higgins had a rough time with a concussion in Week 12, preventing him from playing during Thanksgiving. Luckily, he seems likely to be cleared in time for the upcoming Bills game.
Rondon, having encountered a PCL sprain during Week 11 against the Panthers, is still trying to recover. He hasn’t been placed on IR, so there’s a chance he could hit the field against the Seahawks if he can practice this week.
As for St. Brown, he sprained his ankle on Thanksgiving, but it doesn’t seem to be severe enough to require an extended absence. Still, with a Thursday night game ahead against the Cowboys, his participation appears uncertain.
Marvin Harrison Jr., Cardinals
Harrison Jr. returned after undergoing an appendectomy, yet missed the last game due to a foot injury. Fortunately, it doesn’t sound serious, but we’ll need to wait until practice on Wednesday to know more about his status.
Reed has returned to practice as he recovers from a broken collarbone. More updates are expected this week regarding his schedule.
