OnlyFans Models Criticize Sydney Sweeney’s Role in Euphoria

OnlyFans creators are taking issue with how actress Sydney Sweeney is portrayed in her role on Euphoria. Some fans have accused the show’s creator, Sam Levinson, of “degrading” her character through explicit scenes, particularly in the upcoming season. In this latest installment, Sweeney’s character, Cassie, turns to OnlyFans to fund extravagant wedding plans, including a $50,000 flower budget for her marriage to Nate (played by Jacob Elordi). Many viewers found the sexual content offensive and poorly executed.

Cassie’s journey on OnlyFans includes her taking on bizarre roles, like pretending to be a dog to create risqué content, donning dog ears and a collar. There’s also a scene where she dresses as a baby, laid out on a couch, which has drawn significant criticism. In these photos, Juana, the housekeeper played by Minerva Garcia, takes pictures of Cassie in revealing outfits, raising eyebrows about the show’s approach to such themes.

Real-life OnlyFans models aren’t amused by the show’s portrayal of their work, calling it “cartoonish” and dismissive of the realities they face. Some highlighted that content depicting minors, even in role play, is against the platform’s guidelines and legal standards.

Sydney Leathers, an OnlyFans creator, expressed her frustration, stating, “There’s a lot of ridiculous, cartoony stuff.” She criticized the baby role play, noting how strict credit card processors are with adult content. Those guidelines, she indicates, have only become tighter over time.

Moreover, the platform’s terms explicitly forbid content that promotes the exploitation or abuse of minors, among other illegal activities.

Maitland Ward, another OnlyFans creator, described the show’s portrayal as alarming, saying, “The fact that they dressed her up as a baby to create pornographic OnlyFans content is problematic and reinforces harmful stereotypes about sex workers.” She lamented how such representations often equate sex work with abuse or trafficking, trivializing serious issues.

Meanwhile, fans of Sweeney are expressing their disdain for the way her character has been treated, reflecting broader concerns aimed at Levinson’s creative choices. One viewer articulated their disapproval succinctly, remarking that the show has devolved into something quite unsettling.
