Clooney and Kelce Discuss Relationships on Podcast
In a recent episode of the podcast “New Heights,” which aired on December 3rd, Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelsey had an intriguing conversation with actor George Clooney. During the discussion, Clooney shared insights about his marriage to Amal, noting that they haven’t had any arguments in a decade.
Travis, curious about this claim, playfully asked, “You claim you haven’t fought with your wife in 10 years, are you lying?” Clooney, with a wink, assured him he was telling the truth and turned the focus to Kelce’s relationship with pop star Taylor Swift.
Travis laughed and mentioned that everything between him and Taylor was going quite well. “Well, it’s only been two and a half years, and you’re right. I’ve never had an argument,” he stated.
Clooney elaborated on why he and Amal prefer to avoid conflict altogether. He reflected, “Neither of us are going to win the argument, so why get into it?” Age, he said, has provided him with valuable perspective. He expressed gratitude for his relationship, sharing, “I met this incredible woman. She’s beautiful, smart, and embodies everything I value.” He couldn’t fathom quarrelling over trivial matters.
Feeling inspired, Clooney jokingly encouraged the Kelce brothers to emulate his approach. Travis humorously responded, saying, “I’m just taking notes the whole time, big guy. You don’t even know.”
The couple’s relationship began when Clooney proposed to Amal in April 2014, marrying just five months later in Venice. They later welcomed twins, Ella and Alexander, in 2017.
Moreover, Clooney is adamant about raising his children outside the Hollywood spotlight. In a prior interview, he expressed concern about the Los Angeles culture, fearing it would negatively influence his kids. “I was worried about raising my kids in the culture of Los Angeles, Hollywood,” he shared.
To provide a more peaceful environment, the Clooneys moved to the French countryside, a place he believes is free from the pressures of fame. “I don’t want them to worry about paparazzi or being compared to other famous kids,” he declared. The family enjoys multiple homes around the world, including properties in Italy and a mansion in France near a winery owned by their friend, Brad Pitt.
