Housekeeper troubled by white truck she spotted on the night of the murders

Blanca Turvieto Simpson, who worked as the housekeeper for the Murdaugh family, has shared how the white pickup truck she noted years ago still troubles her, following the shocking murders of Maggie and Paul Murdaugh. In her book, *Inside the Murdaugh House: Inside a Unique Friendship*, co-written with Mary Frances Weaver, she reflects on her close bond with Maggie as well as the tragic events of that fateful night.

In her discussion with Fox News Digital, Turvieto-Simpson recounted the chilling memories that linger for her, especially regarding a white truck parked near her family’s property in Colleton County, known as “Moselle.” She expressed regret, stating, “What really bothers me is that I didn’t look into the white truck that was parked by the hangar.” Initially, she believed the truck belonged to Paul and felt no need to investigate further.

She emphasized her concern during the trial when she learned that Paul’s phone was ringing in Okatie. This led her to wonder about the white truck’s driver, saying, “A white F-150? That’s one of the main trucks that bothers me.” The realization that it might have been connected to the murders continued to haunt her.

Turbiento-Simpson mentioned reflecting on why she chose to leave the property through a different gate instead of passing by the kennel, where Maggie and Paul were found dead. She recalled, “Maybe it was some kind of divine intervention.” At the time, the truck didn’t raise red flags for her because it resembled Paul’s vehicle.

In her upcoming memoir, she reveals subtle inconsistencies noted at the estate the day after the killings. For example, she pointed out that Maggie’s car was parked in a location she had never seen before, which made her suspicious: “There was no need to park there when there were actually no other cars.”

Moreover, she stated that doubts about Alex Murdaugh’s involvement in the murders lingered until she watched body camera footage shown in court. Noticing one of her towels in the video shocked her, prompting an emotional reaction. “At that point, my husband said, ‘What are you talking about?’ I said something like, ‘He did it,’” she recalled, suggesting that Alex may have used the towel in an effort to clean up between the house and the kennel.

While she reveals her theory about possible accomplices that night, she admits that current evidence doesn’t definitively point to that. What she aims for with her book is not speculation, but rather a tribute to Paul and Maggie. “I don’t want her to be forgotten,” she expressed, stressing the importance of remembering the victims amidst the ongoing saga.

Looking ahead, the South Carolina Supreme Court will deliberate on Alex Murdaugh’s appeal for a new trial, stemming from alleged jury misconduct during his previous proceedings. Despite everything, Tarbiet-Simpson indicated she doesn’t intend to watch Hulu’s dramatization about the Murdaughs, emphasizing that it feels unnecessary given her lived experience of the tragedy.
