They initiated a GoFundMe campaign, aiming for $1,000 to help her attend nursing school. But the response was overwhelming, and the campaign raised $35,000.
When Chris handed Hector the check, she was overcome with emotion, shocked by the magnitude of their generosity.
Now, Hector has completed her nursing training, and her employer is funding her education further. She plans to focus on patient and home health advocacy.
