Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers expressed some frustration with the media following his team’s victory over the Baltimore Ravens, which secured their spot at the top of the AFC North with a score of 27-22.
This game marked Rodgers’ first rushing touchdown since he wrapped up the previous season with the Green Bay Packers. He completed 23 out of 34 passes for a total of 284 yards, along with throwing a touchdown pass.
After the match, he was questioned about what the win meant, especially given the implications for both the Steelers’ playoff prospects and coach Mike Tomlin’s future as they head into a key game. Rodgers quipped, “So you’re probably going to be quiet for a week.”
Teammate DK Metcalf shared his agreement, noting the importance of ignoring external distractions. He mentioned how Coach Tomlin has consistently motivated the team through both highs and lows, urging them to remain focused and perform at their best.
Metcalf also pointed out, “We knew what was at stake: first place in this heated competition, and yes, the better team came out on top.” He led the squad with 148 receiving yards on seven catches, while Jalen Warren contributed with three catches for 49 yards and a touchdown.
Tomlin, whose future with the Steelers had been the subject of much speculation lately, expressed his happiness with the team’s performance post-game, stating, “It’s a great team win. I just appreciate the effort of the guys in that locker room. This is classic Steelers vs. Ravens.”
The Steelers are set to face the Miami Dolphins next Monday night.
