Brooke Mueller Seeks Over $15 Million in Child Support from Charlie Sheen
Brooke Mueller is filing a claim for more than $15 million that she says Charlie Sheen owes her in unpaid child support. A recent court filing indicates that she is demanding the full payment of $15,386,243.08, inclusive of interest, within 30 days. The couple shares twin boys, Bob and Max.
Mueller’s figures show that Sheen reportedly owes $8,967,600 in direct child support and an additional $6,418,643 in interest.
Back in 2011, when their divorce was finalized, Sheen had been ordered to pay $55,000 monthly for child support. After initially making full payments from March to June of that year, he transitioned to partial payments and eventually stopped all payments by 2012, failing to send any funds from 2012 to 2016.
Although Sheen resumed some payments in 2016, those, too, ceased by 2019. In 2023, he started making payments again but has not consistently met the agreed amount each month, sometimes paying less than $10,000.
Attempts to reach Sheen’s team for their comments have not yet received a response.
Sheen and Mueller were married for around three years before their divorce proceedings began in 2010. Ultimately, Mueller was granted primary custody of their twins in 2011; however, the children currently reside with Sheen. Recent changes to their custody agreement in 2024 stipulate that Sheen would gain full custody if Mueller tests positive for drugs or alcohol.
The court documents suggest that the plan is for Mueller to have reasonable visitation rights, encouraging continued contact between the kids and both parents.
While navigating these changes, Sheen has been candid about his own challenges. He has been sober for eight years and, reflecting on his role as a single father, he mentioned, “I’ve mainly been raising my 14-year-old sons.” He clarified that Mueller is currently less involved as she figures out her personal circumstances. “They’re really cool, they’re really smart, and they’re really funny,” he expressed affectionately about his sons.
