She warned that if such comments persisted, she’d remove that song from her setlist. “This is a song that matters to people, not a stage for you to insert yourself into a narrative that isn’t yours,” she emphasized. Her closing remark? “It’s either the whole team is happy or it’s a failure. Please.”
Ballerini and Evans were married for nearly five years before their divorce in 2022. Reflecting on her past relationship during an appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, she discussed the strains that led to their split. She mentioned, “We had been separated, and I often felt disconnected. It wasn’t what I wanted.” The emotional burden was significant, and she felt exhausted from always being the one to show up, yet feeling unseen.
After separating, Ballerini began dating actor Chase Stokes in December 2022. Interestingly, she initiated their connection through a flirty message on Instagram.
