Model Prithika Swarup, known for her work with Fenty Beauty, Ralph Lauren, and Escada, is quite familiar with Miami Art Basel and its renowned parties. Last year, as the founder and CEO of Prakti, a holistic beauty brand rooted in Indian traditions, she marked Cartier’s 100th anniversary with a celebration featuring Janelle Monáe as the DJ, after enjoying a thought-provoking exhibit, and then danced late into the night at Faena.
“It’s the blend of culture, creativity, and nightlife that keeps me returning!” says Swarup, a Virginia native and a graduate of Columbia University’s School of Finance and Economics. Although she considers New York City her home, she often divides her time between Los Angeles and Miami. “That boldness and freedom in Miami’s vibe is clear in the vibrant Wynwood murals and the lively music from Little Havana. It’s a space where everyone embraces their best self and moves to their own unique rhythm.”
When she’s in Miami, Swarup, 30, usually kicks off her day with a stroll along the beach, followed by lunch at Casa Donna or dinner at Casa Tua—what she describes as “a hidden garden in the heart of South Beach.” Sometimes, she wraps up her evening at an underground salsa club into the early hours. No matter where she is, she feels confident and fabulous, thanks to her selection of beauty treasures that seamlessly transition her look from day to night in South Florida.
