Former girlfriend of Bill de Blasio criticizes cheating ex-mayor for “fear of intimacy” and describes his new partner as “vapid”

Nomiki Konst, a New York politician, recently accused her ex-boyfriend Bill de Blasio of having a “fear of intimacy.” In a candid podcast moment, she even labeled his current partner, Roxana Valenzuela, as “conceited.”

Konst, 41, opened up about her tumultuous relationship with de Blasio, 64, revealing that he had expressed interest in potentially having children with her. “He was curious,” she shared with host Touré on the YouTube series “Why Did They Break Up?”

They reportedly discussed this while on a plane to California. De Blasio has two adult children with his estranged wife, Charlaine McCray, whom he has been with for over 30 years but separated from in 2023 without finalizing a divorce.

This revelation is in stark contrast to earlier claims made by the couple, who had denied intentions of starting a family together.

When pressed by Touré about whether de Blasio wanted a child with her, Konst simply replied, “Yes.”

She also described how de Blasio’s tendency for chaos contributed to the decline of their relationship over a brief ten-month period. “Things seemed fine until suddenly it was clear something wasn’t right,” she explained. “I think he might have a fear of getting hurt; he once said to me, ‘I’m scared that you’re going to hurt me.’

Despite their connection, de Blasio invited Valenzuela to lunch in September, which led to further complications. Konst jokingly recounted the incident, saying, “F’s side salad!”

After the initial affair, Konst attempted to reconcile with de Blasio, but he continued to reach out to Valenzuela despite her distress. When she questioned him about why he maintained contact, he simply said, “I miss her.”

At one point, Konst begged Valenzuela to stop getting in touch with de Blasio, but Valenzuela didn’t comply. “She was all over the place, kind of whining and self-satisfied,” Konst remarked.

Heartbroken, Konst later found out that Valenzuela had canceled a planned trip to New York to see de Blasio, prompting her to confront him one last time before a political conference in Puerto Rico. “After everything you’ve been through, you’re still talking to someone who isn’t serious about you,” she expressed in frustration.

In a statement to Page Six, de Blasio confirmed that he and Valenzuela are in a good place. “I fell in love with someone else. I should’ve told her sooner. My relationship with Roxana is great, and we aim to keep it private,” he stated.
