Trump Gold Card Immigration Initiative Announced
On Wednesday, former President Donald Trump revealed the much-anticipated Trump Gold Card, an immigration program designed to create a simplified route to U.S. citizenship.
In a message on Truth Social, Trump described the initiative as offering “a direct path to citizenship for all eligible and vetted individuals.”
“The United States Government’s Trump Gold Card is officially here! This provides a direct path to citizenship for all qualified people,” he stated.
Trump expressed enthusiasm, saying, “So exciting! Our wonderful American companies can finally keep their talented individuals! The live site opens in just 30 minutes!” He shared a link for application.

While speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump elaborated on the significant funding that would result from this initiative. He suggested that it could generate “a huge amount of money.” He emphasized, “All funds will be directed to the U.S. government,” adding, “It could be substantial.” He framed the Trump Gold Card as resembling a green card but offering even greater benefits.
Concerns Over American Job Replacement
Trump advised that companies could collaborate with prestigious institutions like Wharton, Harvard, and MIT to retain academic talent, which he feels has been a challenge given current policies. “You can’t hire top students effectively because of uncertainty regarding retaining them,” he noted.
The Trump Gold Card concept was first introduced in September. The card’s design includes a portrait of Trump alongside the Statue of Liberty and an American flag against a gold backdrop, featuring “Trump Gold Card” on one side.
Revisiting Immigration Norms
Earlier, Trump voiced his opinions about illegal immigration and a broken system, claiming, “For too long, millions of illegal aliens have entered our country.” He advocated for a system that favors American citizens and taxpayers.
He anticipated that the Trump Gold Card could generate well over $100 billion in revenue.
As for where the funds would go, he stated they would support tax cuts, growth-oriented projects, and paying down debt.
The Trump Gold Card requires applicants to pay a non-refundable fee of $15,000 along with a $1 million gift, subject to review. Additionally, a Trump Corporate Gold Card option allows companies to sponsor employees for a similar fee structure.
