Kylie Kelsey is a bit skeptical about her brother-in-law, Travis Kelsey’s, assertion that he and his fiancé, Taylor Swift, have “never” argued.
In the latest episode of her podcast “Not Gonna Lie,” Kylie, who has four daughters with her husband Jason Kelsey, pondered whether this meant there’s no conflict between Travis and Swift. She mused, “I’m curious if they’re categorizing arguments differently – maybe if it was more of a, well, like a scream instead,” she shared with her listeners.
Kylie, who is 33, further expressed her confusion over the definition of an argument: “Is it yelling? Is there a difference? Are they saying they don’t argue at all or maybe they just argue without it being a big deal?”
Travis, aged 36, made his statement during a discussion with Jason and actor George Clooney on the “New Heights” podcast.
Clooney, during that talk, interjected to highlight that he thought it was important to know what the real situation was. “I’m not lying,” he said, hinting at the thought of asking Travis the same question regarding conflicts in his relationship.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end insisted, “It’s only been two and a half years, but yes, we’ve never argued.” His brother then sought advice from Clooney on how to maintain peace in marriage.
Clooney noted, “Neither of us is going to win the argument, so why get into it? At my age, what’s the point?” He went on, “I met this incredible woman. I can’t believe my luck, so why would I fight?”
Kylie chuckled, observing that her husband stayed surprisingly quiet during that debate, suggesting they’ve been happily married for nearly eight years without major conflicts.
She wanted to clarify that while they don’t argue much, it doesn’t mean disagreements don’t happen. “Absolutely, we do have our moments,” she stated. “But it’s not about yelling. When you live together, especially with kids, there are times of exhaustion, and temperaments can vary.”
