Michigan employee reportedly connected to Moore scandal received significant salary increase in 2025

Significant Salary Increase for Alleged Mistress of Sherone Moore

The alleged mistress of Sherone Moore, the former head coach of Michigan State football, saw her salary soar from the previous year. Reportedly, she’s listed as an executive assistant to the head football coach at the University of Michigan, earning just over $58,000 in 2023 and 2024. However, her pay jumped to $99,000 for the fiscal year 2025, which, I think, is quite a substantial raise—about 70.62%. That figure seems to be a bit higher than what’s circulating on social media.

According to reports, Moore was terminated for cause just recently in his second season as coach. This decision followed inquiries into allegations concerning “inappropriate relationships” with staff members. It’s hard to shake off the feeling that such a large pay increase for his alleged mistress might have raised some eyebrows around the university.

In a statement, Michigan’s athletic director, Ward Manuel, confirmed Moore’s termination, noting credible evidence pointing towards an inappropriate relationship, which violates university policy. With this kind of situation, you can’t help but wonder what went on behind closed doors.

Things took a turn for the worse for Moore shortly after his firing. Police were called to his residence on the suspicion of assault, as he allegedly threatened to harm himself or others. He remains in custody at the Washtenaw County Jail as of Thursday afternoon, awaiting arraignment, with no charges filed yet.

I guess it’s all quite a fallout—what started as a promising coaching career is unraveling pretty dramatically. It seems like a tough spot for everyone involved.
