Salah’s Discontent at Liverpool: Potential Departure Rumors

Mohamed Salah, a key player for Liverpool, is reportedly unhappy with his club. Despite rumors of interest from teams in Saudi Arabia and Major League Soccer, it’s clear he won’t be sporting a Red Bulls jersey anytime soon.

After being taken out of play last weekend, Salah expressed his frustration with Liverpool, claiming the club had “thrown him under the bus.” This was following a stretch where he sat on the bench for three straight Premier League matches, missing out on a Champions League match against Inter Milan.

Tensions have risen, leading fans to wonder if Salah—considered one of the greatest players to wear a Liverpool shirt—might have played his last game for the club. It’s certainly a tense moment, isn’t it?

Although there are talks about possible moves to Saudi Arabia or MLS, the Red Bulls aren’t indicated as a potential landing spot for the 33-year-old striker. A report from New York suggested this early Thursday morning.

Interestingly, Jurgen Klopp, who previously coached Salah at Liverpool, leads global football at Red Bull GmbH. This connection led some to speculate that there might be discussions about Salah joining the Red Bulls.

Other MLS teams, such as San Diego FC, Inter Miami, and Chicago Fire, have been associated with Salah’s potential move to the U.S., but New York City FC wasn’t mentioned in the mix.

MLS Commissioner Don Garber recently highlighted Salah’s potential impact in the U.S., suggesting they’d embrace him if he decided to make the leap to Major League Soccer. He even encouraged Salah to chat with players like Leo Messi and Thomas Muller about their experiences.

Salah has been pivotal in Liverpool’s success, including their two Premier League titles, one of which was just last season. However, things took a turn over the weekend when tensions flared between coach Arne Slott and Salah. In a conversation with reporters, Salah voiced his disappointment, saying, “We got a lot of promises in the summer, but I can’t say they’re keeping their promises because I’ve been on the bench for three games now.”

He added, “I’ve always maintained I have a good relationship with the manager, but suddenly it feels like there’s none. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but it seems someone at the club doesn’t want me here.”
