Alleged Philadelphia Gang Hitman Arrested

A 25-year-old man, suspected of being a hitman in Philadelphia, has been arrested on three murder charges, one involving a 16-year-old boy.

Tyvin Jones was apprehended on Wednesday at an apartment complex in Delaware County, as reported by the U.S. Marshals Service in Philadelphia.

According to Eric Gartner, the U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, “Tyvin Jones was among Philadelphia’s ‘Most Wanted’ for his alleged involvement in three murders that occurred between 2020 and 2022.”

Jones is reportedly a hitman and a member of the Blumberg gang, linked to murders in August 2020, May 2022, and September 2022.

Authorities identified the victims, aged 16, 20, and 23, as having died from gunshot wounds; however, additional details have not been disclosed.

Deputy U.S. Marshal Robert Clark previously labeled Jones as “the worst society has to offer.”

The sheriff’s office revealed that the task force received an anonymous tip directing them to the Stratford Court Apartments, where Jones was believed to be hiding.

Deputies, along with officials from the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office and Philadelphia homicide detectives, surrounded the area and located Jones.

He was taken into custody without any resistance and was processed at the Philadelphia Homicide Unit.

Clark warned, “His disregard for human life poses an ongoing threat to the public; he should be considered armed and extremely dangerous.”

Gartner emphasized the commitment to the citizens of Philadelphia, stating, “Our relentless pursuit of violent fugitives like Tyvin Jones continues. His unchecked presence only undermines our great city.”
