Liam Neeson Responds to Anti-Vaccine Claims

Liam Neeson is addressing recent allegations regarding his stance on vaccines. The 73-year-old actor is involved in the documentary “Plague of Corruption,” which critiques the pharmaceutical industry, particularly surrounding vaccines, including the COVID-19 vaccine.

His participation has led many to believe he supports the documentary’s claims that certain vaccines pose risks and that there is a cover-up by the pharmaceutical companies. However, a spokesperson for Neeson clarified this is not true.

“We all recognize that corruption can exist within the pharmaceutical industry, but this should never be confused with opposition to vaccines,” the representative stated. “Liam has never been an anti-vaxxer, nor is he now. His extensive work with UNICEF confirms his long-standing support for global immunization and public health efforts. He did not shape the editorial content of the film. Neeson has voiced his support for vaccines in the past, notably as recently as 2022. He called vaccines “humanity’s amazing success story” in a UNICEF video, highlighting the importance of vaccination in protecting communities over the last 75 years.

Despite his well-known advocacy, some are puzzled by his decision to narrate a documentary that raises concerns about vaccines. Critics have pointed out that, regardless of his intentions, lending his voice adds credibility to the film.
