Trump Honored at Israel Federation Foundation Gala

The Israel Federation Foundation recognized former President Trump at its annual gala in Washington, D.C. recently. The event celebrated the organization’s significant role in advocating for Israel, addressing issues from Jerusalem and the Golan Heights to confronting Iran, and facilitating a ceasefire in Gaza that allowed for the release of hostages. Trump remarked, “Israel has never had a better friend in the White House.”

In a video message at the event, Trump expressed his gratitude for receiving the Allied Israel Lifetime Achievement Award. He thanked various individuals involved in the foundation, describing it as a “huge honor.”

“Israel has no better friend in the White House than President Donald J. Trump,” he stated, emphasizing a record of tangible actions over mere symbolism.

Trump highlighted key decisions from his presidency, including withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal, officially recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, relocating the U.S. embassy there, and affirming Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights. He also addressed recent achievements, stating, “In June, I eliminated Iran’s nuclear enrichment capabilities” and mentioned negotiating a significant peace agreement that ended the conflict in Gaza and facilitated the release of hostages.

The gala wrapped up the three-day IAF President’s Conference, which had previously convened lawmakers, faith leaders, and policy officials from over 30 countries. Discussions during the conference focused on anti-Semitism, regional security, and legislative collaboration in support of Israel.

Delegations from various continents met with U.S. officials and members of Congress, participating in talks related to a unified response to the rise of anti-Semitism and threats against Israel.

Leo Terrell, chair of the Justice Department’s Special Committee on Combating Anti-Semitism, addressed attendees at the White House, asserting that Trump would “set the standard of achievement when it comes to Israel” and “fight anti-Semitism.” He urged attendees to expect results, rather than just speeches.

The gathering culminated in a celebration honoring Trump, recognized for reshaping Israel’s diplomatic and security landscape. Josh Reinstein commented, “President Trump’s commitment to Israel changed the course of history,” emphasizing the vital role of faith-based diplomacy in Israel’s successes.

Speakers throughout the event featured notable figures including Senator Ted Cruz and Israeli Minister Gila Gamliel, underscoring a mix of political leadership, strategic alliances, and faith advocacy supporting Israel.

Amid ongoing concerns about anti-Semitism globally, the foundation aimed to unite parliamentarians and religious leaders from numerous countries in support of Israel’s security and the defense of Jewish communities worldwide.

The Israel Alliance Foundation, established in 2007, serves as a coordinating body for the pro-Israel faith-based Congressional Caucus, now comprising over 1,600 members from 64 countries. The foundation promotes a variety of initiatives, such as anti-BDS legislation, encouraging the relocation of foreign embassies to Jerusalem, and enhancing Israel’s diplomatic position internationally.
