Protests Erupt as Trump Attends Army-Navy Game

During President Donald Trump’s visit to the 126th Army-Navy football game at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, a substantial crowd of protesters gathered outside. Footage shared on social media depicted protesters armed with signs expressing their opposition to Trump, lining the streets leading to the stadium.

The demonstrations were anticipated, particularly in a city with a strong Democratic presence. Trump’s proposed deployment of the National Guard to address escalating crime in Baltimore has stirred tension. The city frequently ranks among the top U.S. cities for violent crimes, including murder and robbery.

The activist group Free States Federation (FSC) had organized a protest ahead of the game. A spokesperson from FSC stated, “Baltimore refuses to remain silent in the face of authoritarianism. Protesting is not un-American; fascism is un-American. This country was born from a fight against tyranny. We want to reassure our neighbors who feel isolated in voicing their concerns. You are not alone. This is not normal and not acceptable. We must work together for a better future.”

On the same day, tragic reports emerged regarding the deaths of two U.S. soldiers and an American interpreter in Syria due to an ambush. Trump attributed the attack to ISIS and indicated that there would be “very serious retaliation.”

The President expressed his condolences on Truth Social, mourning the loss of “three great American patriots.” He later commented on the situation in Syria, highlighting its dangerous nature and mentioning the anger of Syrian President Ahmed al-Shalah, stating, “I was shaken by this attack. There will be very serious retaliation.”
