Alix Earl Discusses Breakup with Braxton Berrios
In a heartfelt moment, Alix Earl shared her emotions regarding her breakup with Braxton Berrios. Addressing her over 8 million followers on TikTok, she revealed, “Braxton and I are no longer together.”
Since June, the couple had been navigating a long-distance relationship, which, according to Earl, proved to be quite challenging. “It’s been really difficult for me,” she admitted.
Earl, who recently participated in season 34 of *Dancing with the Stars*, expressed how much she enjoyed her time in Los Angeles during filming, even considering a permanent move there.
Reflecting on her relationship with Berrios, who currently plays for the Houston Texans, she voiced her desire to focus on herself at this time. “Part of me wants to focus on myself right now. I feel like I can’t be what Braxton needs,” she explained. Earl pointed out that she wants him to have someone who can provide constant support, a role she felt unable to fulfill.
The 24-year-old noted that Berrios, aged 30, was her “best friend,” making their separation even tougher. She shared, “It sucks because I feel like we’re on two different paths right now,” but reassured fans that they remain “on good terms.”
“I don’t want anyone to pick him up or be mean to him,” she added compassionately.
She later reflected on her feelings, admitting to having doubts about herself and not knowing how to handle the situation. “I think ultimately I just wanted to trust my emotions and move on,” she stated. “This is not a drama. It’s not because he did anything wrong, it’s not because I did anything wrong. It just didn’t feel like it was going to work out right now.”
Earlier this month, it was confirmed that the couple had split after about two years together, with sources indicating that the breakup was mutual and resulted from distance.
Just last Thursday, Berrios seemed to hint at their breakup online, but drew criticism for his posts. In a caption along with photos of him both alone and with teammates, he simply asked, “What did I miss?”
The relationship began romantically in May 2023, shortly after Berrios’s split from his ex, Sofia Culpo. They officially started dating in October 2023, coinciding with Berrios’s 28th birthday.
