Katie Pavlich Announces Departure from Fox News for NewsNation
Katie Pavlich, editor at Town Hall and contributor to Fox News, shared on Monday that she will be leaving the network to host a new show on NewsNation.
Beginning in 2026, Pavlich will take on a weekday show at 10 p.m. This new role marks her first opportunity to anchor a prime-time program, following 16 years at Town Hall and her contributions to Fox News starting in 2013.
“I am honored to join NewsNation at this dynamic time in its development. The opportunity to anchor a prime-time program is a special privilege,” Pavlich expressed. “We’re looking forward to bringing a fresh perspective on the news to Americans everywhere while fostering thoughtful conversations on a variety of topics. This is a front-row seat to history, and we’re eager to start this new journey.”
Fox News confirmed to the Daily Caller News Foundation that Pavlich is no longer part of their team.
Known for her guest hosting on “The Five” and other top shows, Pavlich is set to tackle a broad range of subjects on NewsNation, such as free speech, immigration, culture, and foreign policy, as indicated in a press release.
Sean Compton, the president of NewsNation’s parent company, Nextstar Networks, praised Pavlich, calling her a “unique voice” and an “invaluable asset” for the network.
“We’re excited to provide primetime viewers with another hour of political news and insights to help them navigate the essential headlines of the day,” Compton stated. “NewsNation has consistently aimed to deliver honest, fact-based journalism—being American is about presenting varied perspectives and original ideas. Katie’s experience as a journalist and commentator means her voice will be a significant addition for our primetime audience.”
