Some believe Kamala Harris is aiming for another presidential run, but donors and party leaders are concerned about her chances of winning.

Former Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris seems to be making moves towards a potential presidential run once again, despite concerns from her donors about her chances of winning.

According to a report by Axios, Harris is subtly indicating to possible Democratic nominees that she may enter the race. The report points to her recent comments and public appearances as efforts to solidify her position within the party.

“People are happy with the status quo and ready to break things up to force change.”

Many Democratic donors and party leaders are reportedly anxious about her prospects should she decide to run again.

As part of her strategy, Harris intends to extend her book tour throughout 2026, specifically targeting South Carolina and cities with significant black populations.

Recently, she and her husband, Doug Emhoff, were present at the Democratic National Committee’s winter meeting in Los Angeles.

During that meeting, DNC Chairman Ken Martin seemed to allude to Harris’s possible candidacy.

He jokingly referred to Emhoff as a former Second Gentleman, suggesting he might be a future First Gentleman.

Harris is also adopting a new communication style, which some observers believe is a shift from her campaign approach. At the DNC meeting, she noted, “Both parties have failed to maintain the trust of the people,” emphasizing a growing dissatisfaction with the government’s ability to address citizen needs. She highlighted that “people are tired of the status quo and are willing to break things down to force change.”

Polls indicate that Harris may be among the frontrunners for the nomination.

A spokesperson for Harris mentioned that she is entering 2026 with a strong commitment to listening to the American public and identifying leadership gaps, aiming to outline a path beyond current political challenges.

In a recent commentary, a top campaign adviser for Harris, David Plouffe, attributed the loss of former President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign to an excessive focus on a doomed bid.

“It’s all Biden’s fault. … He completely messed us up,” he said.
