Melania Trump Prepares for Film Release
First Lady Melania Trump has shared a sneak peek of her upcoming film, “MELANIA,” which is set to hit theaters globally next month. The 104-minute film is scheduled for release on January 30, 2026, across North America, South America, Asia, Europe, Israel, and the United Arab Emirates. Additionally, Amazon plans to introduce a documentary series related to it in the near future.
In an interview, the First Lady said, “History begins to move in the 20 days of my life before Inauguration Day as President of the United States.” She expressed excitement about giving audiences an inside look at her experiences leading up to her role as First Lady, highlighting “family, business, and philanthropy.” She encouraged viewers to join her for this private, unfiltered journey.
The exclusive trailer starts with Melania entering the Capitol Rotunda prior to her husband’s second inauguration, turning to the camera in her memorable inaugural outfit and stating, “Here we go again.”
From united moments outside Mar-a-Lago to intimate behind-the-scenes glimpses of the inauguration, the trailer captures various scenes featuring her son, Barron, and her father. The iconic roar of the MGM lion precedes visuals of staff meetings and rehearsals with President Trump.
“My proudest legacy will be as a peacemaker,” President Trump says, followed by Melania declaring herself a “peacemaker and unifier.” The trailer continues to highlight key moments in her life, including her glamorous arrival in the East Wing and interactions with her staff.
The visuals shift to convey a sense of anticipation, with Melania questioning security personnel about safety before transitioning to scenes of a convoy moving through the city. “20 days left to become the First Lady of the United States,” the trailer proclaims. Melania then adds, “Everyone wants to know. Then here it is,” culminating with exuberant cheers for President Trump.
Scheduled for worldwide release, the First Lady described the story as one that hasn’t been told before, emphasizing its historical significance. She noted the care and detail involved in producing a film of high cinematic quality that deserves theatrical attention globally.
It has been revealed that Melania was deeply involved in all aspects of the film, from creative input to production and marketing. The behind-the-scenes narratives show her life in Trump Tower, at Mar-a-Lago, and in Washington, D.C., creating an intimate portrait of her journey to becoming First Lady.
The idea originated in November 2024, following President Trump’s election victory. Negotiations with Amazon began shortly after, with competition from other streaming services evident during the bidding process. Ultimately, Amazon and MGM secured the film with a remarkable $40 million deal.
Mark Beckman, Melania’s adviser, has expressed pride in the collaboration with Amazon, noting their support throughout the production and release efforts. He emphasized that clarity on the bidding process is essential due to speculation surrounding it, confirming the highly competitive nature of the negotiations.
The film’s production style intends to present a polished, film-like experience instead of a traditional documentary. Following the success of her memoir, “Melania,” which topped bestseller lists, the film is poised to add depth to her public narrative. Melania described the memoir writing process as full of emotional highs and lows that underscored her journey and resilience.
Now, with both the film and a special edition of her memoir featuring her personal photographs, Melania Trump continues to share her story, giving audiences a unique view into her life.
