Timothée Chalamet Shines at NYC Premiere with His Mother
Timothée Chalamet showcased his unique plus-one game at the premiere of *Marty Supreme* in New York City. He arrived with his mother, Nicole Flender, and both were dressed entirely in bright neon orange.
The 29-year-old actor sported a stylish double-breasted suit by Tom Ford, designed by Haider Ackermann. He completed the look with a silk shirt and a matching fringed scarf in a tangerine hue.
Stylist Taylor McNeil helped refine his ensemble with Chrome Hearts glasses, a Cartier pendant necklace, and a custom orange Urban Jurgensen watch.
Nicolas matched her son’s look in a Cult Gaia dress, specifically their well-known *Phoebe Halter Neck Dress* in persimmon, complemented by coordinating heels, orange earrings, and a Frances Valentine bag.
This mother-son dress duo was reminiscent of Chalamet’s recent appearance with girlfriend Kylie Jenner, where they too wore matching orange outfits for the film’s Los Angeles premiere.
Interestingly, orange seems to be the recurring theme for the *Marty Supreme* press tour, perhaps as a nod to the orange ping pong balls featured in the film. Chalamet plays the role of Marty Moser, a table tennis champion.
This isn’t the first time Flender has joined her son on the red carpet. She was by his side during the 2018 Oscars, where he was nominated for Best Actor for *Call Me By Your Name*, and at this year’s Vanity Fair Oscar party.
Flender has shown her support for the relationship between Chalamet and Jenner, describing Jenner as “lovely” and “very good” to her.
The New York event also brought Chalamet together with co-star Gwyneth Paltrow, who plays a former movie star romantically involved with his character. Paltrow recounted an amusing incident from filming, where she mistakenly offered skincare advice to Chalamet, thinking his character’s makeup was real acne scars. She laughed about it, noting how surprised she was when he clarified.
Paltrow’s children had differing opinions about her intimate scenes with Chalamet, with her daughter calling it “amazing,” while her son expressed a desire to avoid seeing it altogether.
The film, *Marty Supreme*, follows the journey of a gifted table tennis player from the 1950s, and is set to hit theaters on Christmas Day.
