Controversial Ghanaian Prophet’s Actions Spark Outrage
Ebo Noah, a self-proclaimed prophet from Ghana, has stirred quite the debate after allegedly purchasing a Mercedes Benz with donations from his followers, who believed their contributions were meant for preparations related to anticipated global Christmas floods.
This past Wednesday, during a TikTok livestream to his 1.2 million followers, he claimed that God had postponed the apocalypse, supposedly granting him more time to construct an ark intended to save lives. “I prayed, fasted, donated, and built structures,” he stated while dressed in brown rags and using a cane. “God has given us time to build additional arks, beyond the ten that already exist.”
Noah called on viewers to enjoy Christmas at home and to refrain from sending further donations. He emphasized, “Yet the Ark is there. Repent! Repent! Repent! God bless you.”
While Noah asserts that the ark was assembled using donated funds, residents of Elmina—where he relocated three months ago—have contested this claim. They shared images suggesting that what Noah described as an ark is, in fact, a fishing boat being constructed by locals.
“I’ve received numerous calls from people globally. What he’s saying isn’t true. He’s merely a content creator,” one local resident remarked.
Despite many comments on his TikTok appearing to mock the situation, a significant number of followers took Noah’s declarations seriously. Reports indicated that people flocked to Elmina with their belongings, likely spurred by heavy rainfall alerts in the area.
Noah has persistently solicited donations while seen driving a luxurious Mercedes Benz, prompting speculation that he might be misappropriating the funds meant for his supposed prophetic endeavors.
Authorities in Ghana had arrested him in December due to public panic concerns, but he was released within 72 hours after it was determined that sharing religious prophecies wasn’t illegal.
Notably, a video surfaced showing Noah performing at “Rapperholic,” an annual hip-hop concert on Christmas—the day he had predicted the world would end. He arrived in the Mercedes and gave a brief message calling for repentance before introducing popular rapper Sarkodie, met with enthusiastic applause from the crowd.
