Ethan Slater recently shared a collection of warm and personal photos featuring Ariana Grande, suggesting they are enjoying a break at home.
On Friday, the actress from “Wicked” posted a live photo on her Instagram story of herself snuggling a small brown dog while relaxing on a couch.
In the image, Grande seemed to be embracing a laid-back holiday vibe, dressed in a classic black turtleneck and matching pants as she gently petted her furry friend.
Her light brown hair was pushed back from her face, held in place with a wide white headband. She completed her outfit with pearl earrings and platform heels.
Another post displayed Grande laughing alongside a male friend, with Slater captioning it, “A very happy holiday.”
Additionally, Grande shared a snapshot from a small gathering with friends on her Instagram Story.
Over the weekend, keen-eyed fans also spotted Slater in a backstage photo from Grande’s “Saturday Night Live” performance.
In one of the photos, Gillies unintentionally covered Slater’s face with his hand while toasting Grande, who is 32, with champagne.
There was also an image of the actors relaxing on a couch backstage, absent Grande, at the well-known comedy sketch show.
Grande, 32, and Slater, 33, recently faced speculation about their relationship status after appearing somewhat distant on the red carpet during the promotion for “Wicked: For Good.”
Last month, Slater shared a casual photo with Grande on Instagram, although it lacked any public displays of affection.
In a later interview on the “Today” show, when questioned by co-host Craig Melvin about working with Grande, Slater appeared to deflect, stating, “the entire cast” was “incredible,” and he praised Grande as an “amazing” actress, alongside complimenting co-star Cynthia Erivo’s talent.
He fondly remembered watching Grande and Erivo shine in their roles as Glinda and Elphaba: “We shot it years ago. I never forgot how great their performance was, but I loved watching it with the audience.”
Slater expressed pride in collaborating with his cast, referring to them as “like a family.”
The actors’ romantic involvement first came to light in July 2023, around the same time Slater filed for divorce from his wife Lily Jay; they share a 3-year-old son.
Grande filed for divorce from her ex-husband Dalton Gomez in September 2023 after two years together, citing “irreconcilable differences,” with the separation date listed as February 20, 2023.
