Savannah Chrisley to Join “The View” as Co-Host

Television personality Savannah Chrisley announced her upcoming role as a co-host on ABC’s daytime talk show “The View,” set to begin the week of February 15th. This decision comes in light of previous remarks from the show’s co-hosts, who had criticized her parents’ pardoning.

“I’ll be on ‘The View’ the week of February 15th because I’m a co-host on ‘The View,'” Chrisley shared during an episode of her podcast “Unlocked” this week. She expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “I’m really excited because I like to do things that challenge me. I like to do things that educate me.”

While acknowledging that the women on “The View” have “bashed” her family in the past, she remains optimistic about the opportunity.

Chrisley admitted that joining a panel with several women who share uniform beliefs, while she holds differing views, is a leap outside her comfort zone. However, she is looking forward to the experience, saying, “I know God’s hand is on me throughout the whole experience.”

It’s worth noting that her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley from the reality show “Chrisley Knows Best,” were convicted of federal bank fraud and tax evasion in 2022. They received pardons from former President Donald Trump in May after being sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison.

Reflecting on the pardoning, Joy Behar, a co-host of “The View,” previously criticized the administration’s approach, suggesting that the message conveyed was that wealthy reality stars could evade serious consequences for illegal activities.

In a broader context, co-host Ana Navarro remarked that the pardon lacked ethical grounding, while Sarah Haines found it unsurprising given the political climate.

As Chrisley embarks on this new chapter, it will be interesting to see how the discussions unfold on “The View” given the backdrop of her family’s legal troubles.
