2026 NBA All-Star Voting Results Released
The initial voting results for the 2026 NBA All-Star Game came out on Monday, and many were surprised to find LeBron James’ ranking much further down the list compared to prior years.
As noted by the NBA’s communications team, James garnered only 536,555 votes, which is about 70,000 less than what Trail Blazers forward Deni Avdija received.
Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo emerged as the top vote-getters in their respective conferences. Fans account for 50% of the voting, while players and media each contribute 25%. The next update for fan voting will happen on January 6.
Surprisingly, James landed at 9th in the Western Conference and a notably low 15th overall.
It’s worth mentioning, though, that his recent performance might justify this ranking—he’s only played 14 games this season while battling sciatica and problems with his left foot.
Even so, as he approaches 41, James remains a prominent figure in the league, averaging 20.5 points, 6.7 assists, and 4.9 rebounds in those games.
The Lakers currently sit in fourth place in the Western Conference with a record of 20 wins and 10 losses.
Two of James’ teammates also made the list. Luka Doncic topped the voting with over 1.2 million votes, while Austin Reeves placed 10th in the West with 405,379 votes.
In the Eastern Conference, Giannis Antetokounmpo is leading with around 1.2 million votes. Following him are Nikola Jokic, Tyrese Maxey, and Jalen Brunson, rounding out the top five.
The All-Star Game is scheduled for February at the Intuit Dome in Southern California. Ultimately, 24 players will be selected to participate once all votes are finalized.
