Wife discovered deceased after husband reportedly drives truck into San Diego residence

A woman was discovered dead after her husband reportedly drove his pickup truck into their home. Following the incident, a temporary restraining order was placed against him, according to police.

The woman’s body was found in her residence in the Bay Park area of San Diego after a Toyota Tacoma crashed through the front wall and ignited shortly after 7:30 a.m. on Monday.

The unidentified husband was also found at the scene with serious burns after firefighters put out the fire.

Authorities reported that he was taken to the UC San Diego Burn Center and will be questioned by investigators once he has received medical care.

While police are still working to clarify the circumstances of the accident, there is a belief that the husband intentionally drove into the house.

It remains uncertain whether the woman was struck by the vehicle or succumbed to other causes. “It’s unclear what happened,” remarked Lt. Chris Tibanian. There’s a possibility she was already inside when the incident occurred or perhaps passed away due to different reasons. And, you know, it’s also not clear if the fire was caused by the crash or started deliberately.

The unfortunate events transpired shortly after the husband received a restraining order. Neighbors mentioned that he left their home about a month prior.

One neighbor, Nancy Allan, expressed concern, saying, “We were looking for him; he never came back.” She mentioned noticing something was amiss when she saw him speeding through the neighborhood just days before the incident, remarking, “He didn’t stop, didn’t wave. It was unusual for him.” There wasn’t an immediate response from the San Diego police when contacted by the press.
