Melania shares year-end accomplishments featuring her ‘Take It Down’ Act: ‘2025 FLOTUS Success Highlights’

Melania Trump Reflects on 2025 Achievements

On Monday, First Lady Melania Trump took a moment to celebrate the end of 2025 by sharing a list of her key accomplishments on X, emphasizing her husband President Donald Trump’s focus areas like child welfare, online safety, education, and diplomacy during his second term.

This update was posted to both her personal and official @FLOTUS accounts on December 29. One of her notable achievements was the passage of the Take It Down Act, which President Trump signed into law on May 19. Melania symbolically put her signature on this bill during a Rose Garden event earlier this year.

The bipartisan legislation mandates that social media platforms must remove non-consensual intimate images, such as revenge porn and AI-generated deepfakes, within 48 hours of a victim’s request. Additionally, it criminalizes the distribution of such content and builds upon Melania’s “Be Best” initiative from her husband’s first term, which focused on child welfare and combating cyberbullying.

Throughout the year, Melania has actively defended this bill. She made her first solo public appearance during her second term at a Capitol Hill roundtable in March, where she spoke with survivors of online exploitation at the White House.

2025 Highlights

In her year-end post, the first lady outlined several key successes:

  • Passed the Take It Down Act
  • Maintained the Executive Order on Developing the Future of America’s Children and Families
  • Launched the National K-12 AI Program
  • Hosted a task force focused on AI education
  • Secured $25 million for foster care housing
  • Facilitated reunions for children and families in Ukraine and Russia
  • Launched a Global Coalition at the UNGA

These initiatives showcase Melania’s ongoing commitment to protecting children from online dangers, advancing responsible AI education, and reforming foster care, all while pushing for global child welfare.
