In a reflective Instagram post, the “Cowboys Cry Too” singer described 2025 as “the most glorious, stress rash-inducing year I’ve ever had,” sharing a carousel of images that captured moments from the year.

Ballerini, who mentioned the difficulties of the past year, expressed a desire to break old patterns and focus on love. She shared, “I will always remember you,” likely in reference to her journey over the past year.

Though Stokes wasn’t featured in that particular post, Ballerini emphasized the challenges faced throughout the year and her personal growth. She later shared a candid message about the importance of love and connection, stating, “It’s been a tough year for the mind, a tough year for what comes in from the outside.” She added, “But all I’m trying to say is that I really love love and want to share my personal life indefinitely.”

In his reflections, Stokes also looked back on the lessons learned in 2025, focusing on personal growth for the new year. He encouraged taking responsibility and cherishing fleeting moments, saying, “Let’s take responsibility and learn from our mistakes. After nearly three years together, Ballerini and Stokes had broken up in September, with a representative for the country singer confirming their split. Reports suggested that both were trying to make it work but ultimately decided they weren’t compatible.

Ballerini had previously filed for divorce from Morgan Evans after almost five years of marriage in 2022, hinting at her journey of embracing love again.
