Elon Musk’s Political Stance Ahead of Upcoming Elections

On Thursday, billionaire Elon Musk expressed strong concerns about the future of America if the Democrats gain control of Congress. He implied that he might financially support Republican candidates for the upcoming 2026 midterm elections.

Musk stated, “America will be happy if the radical left wins.” He went on to suggest that this shift would lead to a surge in illegal immigration and fraud, concluding with a worrying remark: “It’s not America anymore.”

His comments followed those of conservative influencers who were vocal about their intent to support the Republican Party and help President Trump regain influence during the November midterm elections.

Reports have indicated that Musk, already a prominent political donor, has made significant contributions to the Republican Party for the 2026 elections. The exact figures will be clearer when his campaign finance report is released later this month.

Musk’s record donations for the 2024 election cycle, exceeding $290 million, made him the top political contributor by a considerable margin.

In a recent post on New Year’s Day, he shared a video featuring Trump, highlighting a moment when the former president acknowledged Musk in a friendly way after a tumultuous relationship in the past.

Previously, Musk had considered forming his own political faction, dubbed the “American Party,” during a difficult period with Trump. However, he hesitated, worried it might affect his standing with Vice President J.D. Vance, as he contemplates support for Vance in 2028.

Initially, Musk had plans to run American Party candidates in specific key districts to challenge Republican incumbents who backed Trump’s spending initiatives. Yet, there’s still an open-ended possibility for Musk to explore a new party, depending on how the midterms unfold, according to his associates.
