Jeremiah Raver, known from “Breaking Amish,” was recently airlifted to a hospital due to dangerously high blood sugar levels which might have led to liver failure.
This news came out through a TikTok post on Tuesday, where he told his audience that he was “waiting for his life to be taken to another hospital.” He even shared a selfie from his hospital bed.
His blood sugar level was alarmingly high at “993.” As per the Cleveland Clinic, a normal fasting blood sugar level should be under 100, while levels above 126 could suggest diabetes.
The reality star, who is 45, also posted footage showing him being wheeled on a stretcher to a helicopter in another TikTok update on Tuesday.
He took the time to thank his followers in a Saturday update, expressing his appreciation for their prayers and mentioned, “I’m feeling good and will be out tomorrow!”
Supportive messages flooded in from fans, with one encouraging him to “Stay positive, hate the haters, and live your life to the fullest!” Another user added, “Sending healing energy.”
Yet another fan advised him to prioritize his health: “Take care of yourself! Heal before anything else.” It’s clear these messages resonate with people who care.
This latest health scare follows a previous hospitalization over a year ago, where he dealt with heart issues and diabetic ketoacidosis, a serious complication related to diabetes.
Raver gained fame on TLC’s “Breaking Amish,” which first aired in 2012. The series showcases Amish and Mennonite young adults as they venture into the modern world for the first time.
After the original show, he continued to be part of the spin-off, “Return to the Amish,” and contributed to seven seasons of that series.
