Hallie Shoffner’s Senate Bid in Arkansas
Hallie Shoffner is entering the race for Senate in Arkansas, aiming to unseat the Republican incumbent, Tom Cotton.
Her campaign portrays her as a “sixth-generation farmer” dedicated to challenging the status quo in Washington. However, reports from a source indicate that Shoffner has a background as a left-wing activist, having enlisted a marketing firm to build her brand as “FarmHerHallie.”
“I’ve spent my life as a rice and soybean farmer,” Shoffner asserts in a campaign video from November.
It turns out Shoffner has engaged in various activities, as uncovered by reports. While pursuing her master’s at the University of Arkansas’ Clinton School of Public Service, she was involved in crafting a fundraising strategy for PROMSEX, a nonprofit committed to promoting gender equality and combating gender-based violence. Notably, PROMSEX received a substantial grant from George Soros’ Open Society Foundations in 2021.
Interestingly, Shoffner appeared to have discussed her role in organizing a significant event in Peru—a gay pride parade—in a now-removed blog from 2010. In the blog, she mentioned, “I marched at the front of Lima’s 9th Annual Gay Pride Parade. Leading the charge. My organization, Promsex, funded the parade, so our staff waved the opening banner.”
Hallie Shoffner is so out of touch with Arkansas that she traveled all the way to Peru to lead a pro-transgender parade in secret.
What else is she trying to hide from voters?

She elaborated on the celebration, saying, “We were celebrating love and humanity’s ability to love.”
Shoffner returned to her family farm in 2016 and reportedly collaborated with a marketing agency to create her personal brand. She appears on the Laura Kirk Marketing Group’s website as a client and is identified as a “CEO & Climate Activist.”
As of 2021, Shoffner was the director of the Arkansas Citizens Climate League. The group labeled her a “committed climate solutions advocate.” During that same year, they initiated a study group on how to be anti-racist.
As the campaign unfolds, it seems likely that we’ll witness more rebranding efforts from Democrats trying to distance themselves from the more contentious aspects of the previous political climate.
