Tragic Incident in New York City
Greg Ennin, a 53-year-old single father raising two daughters, was killed in New York City on Monday during an unprovoked attack. The man accused of this crime has a lengthy criminal record, totaling 20 arrests.
A video from the scene shows how Mr. Ennin was simply walking to work when the suspect confronted him for reasons that remain unclear, leading to a brutal and senseless act of violence.
Looking at the situation, if we assume those arrested are indeed guilty, it seems to highlight a troubling pattern in cities governed by Democrats. These same leaders are willing to pursue legal action against individuals, like a grandmother involved in the Capitol protests, while allowing repeat offenders to remain on the streets, exposing law-abiding citizens to danger.
Addressing violent crime should not be complex. It essentially comes down to keeping violent offenders incarcerated. If we can identify those who are likely to cause harm, they should be in prison for extended periods; this approach could significantly curb crime rates.
Research supports the idea that a small fraction of individuals commit the majority of crimes. Targeting just that 5 percent could lower overall crime rates and prevent future victims.
The solution isn’t difficult; it’s about having the will to take action against criminal behavior.
Unfortunately, it appears there’s a desire among some Democratic leaders to keep violent criminals in circulation. This could potentially chase away residents who want a secure community, while creating conditions that benefit corrupt practices like welfare fraud.
There’s a creeping sense that these decisions are being made intentionally. It would be great if voters in those areas started noticing the consequences of these policies.
