Trump and the first lady prepare for the Washington premiere of 'MELANIA' at the Kennedy Center before its worldwide release.

Trump to Attend Premiere of Melania’s Film

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are set to attend the screening of Melania’s movie titled “MELANIA” on January 29 at the Trump Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. This was reported by Fox News Digital.

Washington is among 20 cities nationwide hosting events in anticipation of the film’s upcoming release.

The 104-minute film “Melania” is scheduled to hit theaters globally on January 30, making its debut in North America, South America, Asia, Europe, Israel, and the United Arab Emirates.

Interestingly, the day before the film’s release, Amazon will also hold premiere events across the U.S. to celebrate its theatrical debut.

Details indicate that both President Trump and the First Lady will participate in the event at the Trump Kennedy Center. Other cities participating in premiere events include New York, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Chicago, Miami, San Diego, Nashville, Orlando, Orange County, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Denver, Detroit, Kansas City, Boston, Austin, Houston, Las Vegas, Dallas, and Los Angeles.

It’s reported that Amazon executives will also be present at the premiere event.

Melania has shared, “History begins to move in the 20 days of my life before Inauguration Day as President of the United States. For the first time, audiences around the world are invited to the theater to witness this important chapter unfold. Join us for a private, unfiltered look at my incredible journey to become the First Lady, navigating family, business, and philanthropy.”

The film offers a glimpse into her life—from her home in Trump Tower to Mar-a-Lago, and behind the scenes in Washington, culminating in her husband’s second inauguration.

The concept for the film originated in November 2024, following Trump’s election win. Mark Beckman, a representative and senior advisor for Melania Trump, began negotiating with Amazon on her behalf starting November 18, 2024.

Reports say that other major studios, including Disney, Netflix, and Paramount, expressed interest in acquiring the film. However, Amazon and MGM secured the film rights with a bid of $40 million, a record in documentary history.

Beckman remarked, “It’s been an honor to work with Amazon…from the moment we started negotiating through production, and now as we prepare for the film’s release.”

He clarified some misconceptions about the bidding process, explaining that while Amazon placed the highest bid, it was also interested in multiple products, series, and movies. He emphasized the criteria they were looking for were all satisfied by Amazon.

Filming commenced in December 2024, with the film being executive produced by Melania Trump and directed by Brett Ratner. Sources have described the production as being “very cinematic,” indicating Melania’s desire for it to transcend a documentary style.

Beckman noted that the First Lady was involved in “every aspect” of the film, highlighting her hands-on approach from creative development to post-production marketing.

The trailer, which Fox News obtained, features Melania walking into the Capitol Rotunda before the inauguration, expressing iconic moments and showing glimpses of significant events in her life.

Melania stated, “My proudest legacy will be as a peacemaker,” to which she adds, “Everyone wants to know.”

The film is being released a year after her memoir, also titled “Melania,” which achieved notable success on the New York Times bestseller list. This memoir offers an intimate reflection on Melania’s life, including personal anecdotes and family images that had not previously been shared.

Melania expressed that the memoir writing process was “incredible,” filled with emotional experiences, and noted that revisiting her stories was both challenging and rewarding.

In conclusion, “Melania” is a significant project for the First Lady, drawing attention as both a film and a window into her life and experiences.
