VP Vance Challenges Media on ICE Incident

During a briefing at the White House, Vice President J.D. Vance confronted left-wing activists in the press corps, critiquing their approach to objectivity in reporting.

In one clip, Vance addressed a CNN headline about an incident where an ICE agent shot a left-wing activist. Despite the shooting being legally justified as self-defense, CNN’s coverage reflected outrage, stating, “Outrage after ICE agent kills US citizen.”

Vance dismissed this narrative, pointing out, “What this headline leaves out is that the woman was there to obstruct legitimate law enforcement operations in the United States.” He emphasized the activist’s role in a broader left-wing effort that complicates ICE’s work.

He further urged media outlets to acknowledge the truth, asserting, “Radical leftist groups are working tirelessly, sometimes with domestic terrorism methods, to undermine the enforcement of immigration laws as directed by the elected president.”

In a subsequent clip, Vance responded to a question about the circumstances of the shooting. The press member suggested that the woman was merely protesting, which Vance countered, stating, “She tried to hit someone with her car!—and the man defended himself.”

Vance also addressed recent rumors regarding his involvement in a plan concerning Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro. He called out misinformation, clarifying, “I’ve heard several things. One is that I was not included in the planning… which is false.” He asserted his ongoing involvement in the matter as long as the president desires.

He took the time to highlight the ICE agent, noting this was not the first time the officer faced injury while on duty. Vance criticized the media for jumping to conclusions about the agent’s actions, labeling it “one of the most shameful things” he’s witnessed.

He concluded with an affirmation of the Trump administration’s approach, contrasting it with past Republican administrations that he described as cowardly. Vance’s clarity and assertiveness were highlighted as a refreshing change from decades of media intimidation experienced by Republican officials.
